Some jewelry pieces are more than gold. A bangle may be a wedding gift, a chain may have come from a parent, and a pair of earrings may be connected to a special family occasion. Recording that story can make a jewelry record more useful and more meaningful.

For each item, choose a simple name such as “Mother’s wedding bangles” or “Diwali earrings.” Then note who gave it, when you received it, and any family detail you want to remember. Add a clear photo, the known karat and weight, and the receipt or certificate if you have one.

You do not need to write a long history. A few honest lines are enough. If you are unsure about a date or detail, leave it blank instead of guessing. You can update the record when another family member remembers more.
