A few gold coins or bars may sit together in the same box, but a single note saying “gold pieces” can make it hard to tell which document belongs to which item later.
Start a separate record for each identifiable coin or bar. Take a clear photo of the item and, if it stays in its packaging, a photo of that too. Copy details such as stated weight, fineness, maker or refiner, and serial number only when they appear in documentation. Keep a note of which receipt or certificate supports those details. A visual resemblance, colour or size is not enough to confirm purity or weight.
Sometimes one certificate or invoice covers several pieces. Note that it applies to the group, and avoid copying a combined weight into every individual record. If the paper does not identify which item it describes, leave that connection open until you can check with the seller or a qualified professional.
AurumSafe helps organize photos, receipts, documented details and notes for gold items and other valuables. Any gold-value figure is an estimate, not an offer to buy or investment advice.
